Cats recognize kindness in humans, and they do not hesitate to make friends with that kindness.

The relationships that cats create with humans will always amaze us. You can just tell, from the way that this cat is behaving with this man, that he trusts this man, that he knows him, that he's happy with the contact and love that he's getting. And it is not the first time that we see something like this. Heck, we have even experienced this ourselves in the past. We make bonds with street cats all the time, with the cats living in our buildings, the cats we feed outside. They know us, we know them, and the bond that we have with them is real and beautiful, even if they forever remain outdoor cats.

That is most likely exactly how this happened. The kitty was probably sitting on that stool one day, and out of nowhere, he decided to brush her for the first time. And there was no going back after that. And we should not be surprised by something like that, really. We are one of those people who cannot stop themselves from meowing and pspspsing at cats when we see them outside, and we are sure that you are too. If we were this man, holding this brush, with this beautiful kitty sitting on our stool, we would have started brushing her as well.
